Adam York, M.A.
Adam has worked in outpatient, inpatient, and ministry
settings. He has counseled couples in various stages of
their relationship, individuals, adolescents, parents of
teenagers, and families. His experience has included
working with clients who have struggled with depression,
anxiety, sexual addiction and dysfunction, substance
abuse, and spiritual crisis.
In the Garden of Eden, God said that it was not good for
people to be alone, and subsequent to the fall, people
have had a hard time being together. Relationships with
God, others, and even ourselves have a great potential
to be life-giving and also greatly distressing. Often
looking through the lens of past and current
relationships, Adam York seeks to come alongside
people and help them find reconciliation, peace, and
renewal.
Adam has been married since 2006; and he and his wife
have recently expanded their family with the adoption of
a newborn baby.
In 2011, Adam graduated Summa cum laude with a M.A.
in Marriage and Family Therapy/Professional Counseling
from Johnson University in Knoxville, TN. In 2006, he
graduated Summa cum laude with his B.A. in Youth
Ministry/Preaching from Johnson University.
