Dr. Marsha Parsons Burdette has lived in Knoxville since
1986. Her interests include life transitions (i.e. death, birth,
remarriage, empty nest, family changes); issues in women’s
growth and development; and dealing with depression,
anxiety, and fear. Marsha is especially interested in
spiritual growth and dream work (teaching clients to
explore and understand their dreams as a method of
spiritual growth). In addition to individual therapy, Marsha
has experience working with groups exploring their dreams
on a per interest basis (i.e. basic dream interpretation;
advanced approaches to dream work; specific dream
themes or concerns).
Marsha received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from
Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. She received
her Master’s Degree in Child and Family Studies and
Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of
Tennessee in Knoxville.
