Faithful & True of Knoxville is an accountability support
group for men who are tired of struggling with sexual
temptation.  A ministry of Ebenezer Counseling Services,
F&T meets once a week for men seeking recovery to support
and encourage one another.  Most members are recovering
from addictions to pornography, extra-marital affairs and
general sexual struggles.  Meetings are closed and members
pay a fee to participate.  In return they receive confidential
attention in a professional environment that is a safe place to
learn more about themselves and meet others who can relate
to their issues.  

Faithful & True groups are led by experienced group
members and are supervised by Dr. Dale Berry, a licensed
psychologist and clinical director of Ebenezer.  Meeting since
1998, F&T has become an effective ministry in the lives of
Christian men who are seeking purity and the strength to
recover from the past.  It is an environment that is safe and
supportive to recovery.  

Who participates in the meetings?
Membership is open to Christian men who are committed to
changing their behavior and lifestyle.  Attendance and
participation in meetings is mandatory; therefore, ability and
willingness to attend regularly is important.  Members must
be willing to be honest and vulnerable about past and
present issues in regards to sexual struggles and
temptations.

Who should consider joining?  
Those who are:
  • seeking a change in their addictive behavior and who
    struggle with temptations.
  • currently working with a therapist or pastor and need
    group support/feedback.
  • desiring intimate fellowship and comrade in an
    environment that supports and loves through the
    toughest of times.
  • developing healthy intimacy with others.

    rather not bring up in most Christian circles.

The Particulars:
Sessions are 1½ hours in duration and meet either on Monday evenings or Monday,
Thursday or Friday mornings.  All members are screened prior to attending since this is a
closed environment with a significant emphasis placed on confidentiality of all group
members.  When unable to attend meetings, members must contact the facilitator in
advance.
Fees:
Members pay at the first meeting of the month for group sessions.  Each session is $25 and
is non-refundable regardless of absences.   Initial screenings are charged $60 for the
session.
