Sharon has moved to East Tennessee after living in the
Central Florida area for 46 years and growing up in West
Orange County. She has a Masters degree in Counseling
from Reformed Theological Seminary, a Bachelors degree
from the University of Central Florida in business, and an
Associate degree from Florida State University. Sharon
began working in the mental health field in 1997. Sharon is
currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida
and a National Certified Counselor.
Sharon Sitler, M.A.
She has presented and taught numerous workshops at both the local and national
conferences. Her presentations are interactive and can be tailored to a number of
different audiences. While at Community United Methodist Church in Casselberry, Florida,
she wrote a monthly counseling article.
Sharon and her husband, Ed, were involved in the marriage ministry in their church and a
couples home group. Sharon has also been involved with the Divorce Care and Singles
teaching at their church. Sharon and Ed recently became Grandparents.
Sharon's areas of specialty include, working with
survivors of sexual abuse or trauma, marriage
counseling, working with children/adolescents and
families working with those struggling with depression or
anxiety, and career counseling.
She is currently president of the Southeastern Region of
the Christian Association for Psychological Studies
(CAPS), she has been involved in starting a local CAPS
Central Florida Chapter and serves on the CAPS
Southeast Board. She is a member of the American
Association of Christian Counselors.
