Carol Tessier and her family moved to Knoxville, TN
in 1999.  Her previous professional experience
includes school counseling, managing an
alternative-sentencing program, and recreational
therapy.  Carol is a licensed professional counselor
earning her B.S. degree from Kent State University
and her M.Ed. degree in counseling from Georgia
State University.

Carol's specialty is in helping children and
adolescents.  She tailors therapy to the age of the
child or adolescent with whom she is working.  With
younger children, she helps children express
themselves through the natural language of play.
With older children, she might use activities, art, and
talk therapy.  She also enjoys working with adults on
either parenting issues or personal individual issues.
In addition to individual and family therapy, Carol's
experience and expertise includes facilitating
parenting groups.  She is also available for speaking
to groups.
