Hello, I’m Jared Grace!
Our culture is obsessed with “quick fixes” and symptom suppression all the while entirely avoiding the source of our aches and issues. I am passionate for a better alternative, one God desires for each of us. My aim is to work alongside others, helping them uncover the root of what is going on in their lives and hearts. I believe it is only through addressing the origin of our troubles that true healing can occur. It is here where the Lord can begin to restore the deepest parts of us.
In real life as well as God’s Word it is so clear to see the powerful connection between our mind, body, and spirit. It fascinates me that we think, believe, and unconsciously assume affects both how we feel, act, and interact with others, ourselves, and even God. This conviction has led to my passion for Cognitive Behavior Therapy and its many powerful techniques for restorative counseling.
The Lord changed my life when I entered college at the University of Tennessee. My 5 years of experience as a student leader and 2 years as a full-time staff member in an amazing campus ministry led me to see why Jesus chose discipleship as his method for reaching the world. My passion for discipleship, both making disciples as well as our ultimate discipleship to Christ, permeates my counseling. I know that through genuine loving relationship, hurting with those who are in pain, celebrating with those rejoicing, and, in every season, helping each other keep our eyes and hearts set on the Lord, we will experience transformation into who God has uniquely created each of us to be. If you ask me, true Godly counseling is discipleship, and it is uniquely powerful.
