My name is Morgan Newman, and I am a graduate-level intern pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. For my undergraduate education, I received my Bachelors in Child and Family Studies with a concentration in
Community Outreach from the University of Tennessee.

I am drawn to counseling because I understand what it's like to walk through difficult seasons of life, and I recognize the healing that can take place through talking with a counselor who genuinely cares. Please know that I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients as they navigate the most challenging parts of life.

I take a holistic approach to counseling, understanding how mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health are all connected to your healing journey. I use strategies that help clients notice their thoughts, feelings, and physical responses, while also building skills to manage stress, regulate your nervous system, and become more resilient. My goal is to help clients understand themselves better, trust themselves more, and live life abundantly. I primarily work with women of all ages (12+) who are experiencing life transitions. These transitions might involve changes in identity, health, relationships, or other seasons of growth and uncertainty. I welcome clients with many different concerns, and I am especially interested in supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault or any form of abuse. I am dedicated to creating a safe and empowering space where clients feel understood and respected as they heal.

When I am not in the counseling space, I enjoy watercolor painting, attending a local yoga or pilates class, and spending time outside with my golden retriever, Heartly!
