Hi there! My name is Kelsie, and I am currently working towards Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I believe that our families are our first church, and it is within these family units that we form our faith, values, and relational patterns. For that reason, I hope to dedicate my life towards helping families curate a home that fosters love, safety, and support. I think its important to offer parents and partners the opportunity to heal from past relational trauma and intentionally forge healthy relational bonds in the present day. This work can be done while in relationship with one another, or as an individual who is hoping to develop into the future-spouse or future-parent that they desire to be. Additionally, I believe that through play therapy and age-appropriate interventions, children and adolescents are able to process and heal from experiences that may otherwise develop into relational stress in their adult connections.

Based on each family’s unique structures and experiences, I believe that play therapy, individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, or a combination of these structures can help a family move towards growth, get “un-stuck”, and feel empowered in their familial roles. I am excited to offer families a range of services based on their needs and what they hope to gain from the therapy process.

I recognize the vulnerability and trust that is required of my clients, and I consider it a true gift to be invited to walk aside others in times of need. I admire the courage that it takes to ask for help, and I honor this courage by serving each and every client to the best of my ability. Whether you are trusting me with yourself, your child(ren), your family, or your marriage, I promise to hold this gift with the upmost care and reverence. I look forward to meeting you and your loved ones, and working together to form a firm foundation for your family to build its church upon.

I grew up around the U.S., living in Chicago, Atlanta, Arizona, and Knoxville in various stages of my life. I traveled to Mississippi for college, where I earned my B.S. in Psychology and my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have since returned home to Knoxville, and I am excited to form permanent roots serving my community. In my free time, I enjoying spending time with friends and family, reading, hanging out with my dog, doing various arts and crafts, and exploring thrift stores!
