Brian Davis is a dedicated counselor, holding an MA in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology and Theology at Liberty University. With 16 years of pastoral experience followed by 4 years as a Hospice Chaplain and Grief Coordinator, Brian transitioned from pastoral ministry to counseling, feeling God’s calling to support individuals and couples on their journeys.

Brian is passionate about helping those facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and grief due to life transitions such as the loss of a loved one, divorce, or relationship endings. He has a particular focus on supporting men dealing with adult issues and is committed to addressing work-related burnout, especially among pastors experiencing pastoral burnout. Additionally, Brian works with individuals who have faced religious or church-related trauma. He sees couples as well as individuals sixteen and older.

Employing a Christian-informed person-centered counseling approach, Brian emphasizes unconditional acceptance, empathetic listening, and grounding clients’ stories and goals in Scripture. He believes that everyone is created in the image of God and is deeply loved by Him, making it essential to honor each person's dignity and reflect the love and grace of Jesus Christ through life's challenges. His therapeutic techniques also incorporate elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems.

Originally from Chattanooga, where he served two churches for 13 years, Brian relocated to Knoxville in 2015. He is married and has a blended family with four children aged 13 to 18, along with a cat and a dog. An avid fan of Tennessee sports, Brian enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with his family. He is also a writer, having recently completed his first book, “40 Days with the Gospel of Mark.”
