Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University Online, I, Doug Hively, am dedicated to fostering positive change in the lives of young individuals. My journey in the field of mental health is rooted in a rich six-year experience with Youth Camp Ministry, where I engaged extensively with teens and young adults, primarily in discipleship settings.

My core expertise lies in nurturing the mental well-being of the youth, guiding them towards becoming self-assured and adept individuals. I hold a deep-seated passion for aiding young men in overcoming challenges related to depression and anxiety, employing a blend of empathy, understanding, and evidence-based techniques.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a fervent aficionado of music and sports, interests that I often integrate into my therapeutic approach to establish a relatable and comfortable environment for my clients. I believe in the power of these mediums to bridge communication gaps and foster a deeper understanding of one's emotions and thoughts.

As I progress through my academic journey at Liberty University, I am continually honing my skills and expanding my knowledge to provide the most effective and compassionate care possible. My goal is to empower the youth to navigate their mental health challenges with resilience and to emerge as stronger, more confident individuals.
